Work > ESP Gallery

Curtis Hsiang was a San Francisco artist who, along with with local artist, Susanne Cockrell, exhibited new work in a two-person exhibit at ESP Gallery in 1999. These photos capture Curtis's performance-based efforts during the installation of his show. His marking of the shadow of the ESP logo captured the sun's gradual movement as it inched across the gallery wall, a wall installed specifically for the piece. Curtis worked many hours that afternoon recording recurrent moments both eternal and ephemeral with a simple pencil and his own studious determination.
